Insurance law

Obtaining the compensation you are owed when your insurer refuses or undervalues your claim.

Our approach

An insurance policy rests on technical definitions of cover, exclusions and limits, and how they are interpreted decides the outcome. A refusal of cover is not always justified, and a settlement offer is often negotiable.

We review your policies, challenge unjustified refusals and follow the expert assessments, making sure the loss is valued in full. In personal injury cases, heads of loss are frequently underestimated.

What we do

  • Review of policies, cover and exclusion clauses
  • Challenging refusals of cover and forfeitures
  • Assistance during expert assessments and counter-assessments
  • Personal injury compensation and loss assessment
  • Property damage, water damage, fire and motor claims
  • Claims and litigation against insurance companies

Frequently asked questions

My insurer refuses to cover me: is that final?
No. The refusal must be reasoned and based on an enforceable clause that was properly disclosed to you. We check the grounds relied on and challenge the refusal when the conditions are not met.
Can I challenge the expert's report?
Yes. A counter-assessment can be commissioned and, if the disagreement persists, a court-appointed expert requested. It is best to be assisted from the first assessment, as its findings shape the whole case.
Is the compensation offered negotiable?
Usually, yes, especially in personal injury cases where several heads of loss are often left out. We carry out a full assessment before any offer is accepted.
